I created a dashboard with information of Ironport email logs. The dashboard has fields that our users need, but I need to know the maximum number of users that can be created to use that dashboard.
If I want to have 1000 users, should I improve the server hardware specs, or does this only depend on daily indexing volume?
Hi paola92,

If you want to send 1000 users to a dashboard, you'll have to make sure the dashboard is as efficient as it can be. Potential features to use include embedded reports, scheduled reports, datamodel acceleration, report acceleration, etc.
In any case, 1000 active Splunk users will require some beefy hardware to back their searches. I'd highly recommend to get some Splunk SE to help you off the ground, and then Splunk PS to actually build this.
Thank your for your answer but what is splunk SE? What is the course that I have to take for this?
unlimited users can be created
Sales Engineer, technical people working for Splunk or Splunk partners who help new customers get started. For larger ideas it's good practice to talk those through in person, SEs would be your best start there - including your Splunk sales rep of course.
