Hi All,
All of a sudden my Splunk DB Connect 2 is not working.
Error : RPC Service Down.
Recycled Splunk service, but no luck.
Jre installation path : /opt/splunk/java8/jre1.8.0_60/
I don't see any errors in jbridge.log.
Below is the error from dbx2.log:
[CRITICAL] [ws.py] [DBInput Service] [Errno -2] Name or service not known
Kindly help me out on this issue. What do I need to look at to get this fixed?
Thanks for you help!
Regards
I had a very similar problem which turned out to be something incorrect in my path specification for Java. and though I forgot what the path had been (something VERY much like the correct path below, but not identical), but changing that path to fixed the issue.
In your case try this path : /opt/jre1.8.0_40/bin/java
.
or
see this link it can help you:
https://docs.oracle.com/javase/tutorial/essential/environment/paths.html
I downvoted this post because this doesn't apply, this is the answer to another question posted about dbconnect
My java location is /opt/splunk/java8/jre1.8.0_60/, do you want me to move java to "/opt/jre1.8.0_40/bin/java" and configure it again??
Current configuration is working from so many days, all of a sudden we are seeing this issue.
Jvm options : -Xmx2048m -XX:+UseConcMarkSweepGC
