I saw that 4.2.4 is only supported on Mac OS 10.5 and 10.6.

When will Lion be supported ?
Will Splunk run in full 64bit ?

At this date Lion / OSX 10.7 is not supported on Splunk 4.2.*

It is planned to be validated for Splunk 4.3.1 (coming in 2012 a little patience gentlemen)

For the 64bit mode, this is not yet the case, the mac OS version of Splunk run in a 32bit mode.
This is not a concerns for forwarders, only for indexers that will use smaller buckets size.

Splunk 6.0.1 runs fine on Mac OS X 10.7.5.

However the current 6.0.2 dmg does not install properly.

Please refer to the following issue.

While 4.2.x does not officially support OSX 10.7 yet, if you have 4.2.2 onwards it will run just fine. I've been running Splunk on OSX 10.7 for a couple of months by now, and it runs just fine.

splunk-4.3.1-119532 is out, doesn't mention 10.7. Is it supported?
