Why Do I keep getting banned from the Splunk IRC?

For some reason, Splunk IRC considers me to be a Spam?

No matter what I do it seems to be going back to this conclusion, How can I fix this issue?

The problem is stated right in that error message. You are using a proxy that the IRC server considers blacklisted. This is an issue with the IRC server and not the #splunk channel itself. Refer to Draineh's explanation regarding the difference between those two.

Oh, if you have any specific errors or messages they would probably be useful too, "just incase" you are getting kicked from the actual channel for some reason

Are you using the WebChat client?

The thing to remember is that it's not actually Splunk IRC, its an IRC channel called Splunk on an IRC network called EFNet.
The best option if you are using the WebChat client would be to connect with an IRC client, IceChat is free but not great.. (as a single recommendation) if you're on windows.

Some of the EFNet servers need you to send a PONG to them in response to a captcha shown on screen to prove you aren't a bot, also sometimes some of the servers don't like many people having the same ident info (e.g. they might not like lots of "webchat" id's) but this is down to the individual servers.
In my case, if all else fails;

/server irc.underworld.no

I have had issues getting online previously, this server doesn't appear to take issue with me 🙂
