I have installed Splunk Enterprise and added the Splunk App for ServiceNow. I can see it in my apps list.
While I am trying to configure the app to connect to my Service Now instance with correct user id and password which i used to log in to Service Now, I am getting the following error:
Encountered the following error while trying to update: Splunkd daemon is not responding: (u'Error connecting to /servicesNS/nobody/Splunk_TA_snow/apps/local/Splunk_TA_snow/setup: The read operation timed out',)
Kindly help me out so I can resume my work as soon as possible.
Hi, this is probably a Splunk daemon timeout during a read operation trying to update the setup endpoint for the Add-on. The advice here should fix it up:

Hi, I have tried it, but its not working still. I tried giving more timeouts up to 300000.
Can you please update me any other possible solution.
And in the set-up screen there is ServiceNow Proxy Setup.

should i fill them in with my system proxy or there are seperate proxy for service now instance?
If there are seperate proxy for service now, how and where can i get them ?

The proxy setup in the following path "http://docs.splunk.com/Documentation/AddOns/latest/ServiceNow/Setuptheadd-on#Set_up_the_add-on_using..." should work fine. You don't need any additional setup.
