MINT is now Free and no longer requires setup through Splunk Sales Rep.

As of September 15, 2016, customers can go straight to https://mint.splunk.com/account and provision access and tokens for Splunk MINT authentication. See http://docs.splunk.com/Documentation/MintApp/2.2.0/UserGuide/Whatsnew for new customers and migration for existing customers.

Request a MINT App Trial through your Splunk Sales Rep. MINT App Trials are 30 days. Once the MINT App Trial period is over, data is no longer collected and updated.

A new MINT App Trial can be requested and, if approved, requires a new license and a clean install. After the FTR (First Time Runner), re-distribute the TA to indexers and forwarders (new Lic means new SSL key pair).
