I'm currently getting this error while doing trying to create an MS SQL connection:

Encountered the following error while trying to save: In handler 'databases': Error connecting to database: java.sql.SQLException: Network error IOException: Connection refused: connect

I tried the solution given on this Answers post:
http://answers.splunk.com/answers/103112/splunk-db-connect-ms-sql-db-connection-refused.html
but I'm still getting the same error. Please help.

Thank you buddy

On your SQL server are you sure you have it set up to allow remote connections? Try following:

Hi @rupesh_patil20

What version of Splunk DB Connect are you referring to?
Splunk DB Connect 1?
https://splunkbase.splunk.com/app/958/
or Splunk DB Connect 2?
https://splunkbase.splunk.com/app/2686/

It's good to always provide as much detail as possible with your issue. That link you shared is from 2 years ago and only applies to DB Connect 1, so just trying to gather information for people to best help you out.
