Why are we seeing 100% CPU utilization with the Splunk process on Windows using Splunk 6.0.1?

Hi ,

The Splunk server is consuming full 100% CPU utilization, and performance is sluggish. We are not seeing such high usage with the Splunk process killed; Please help:

Specs:
Windows server 2008 r2

Below is inputs.conf content:

[default]
host = servername

Check the jobs list (top right corner) for all users, all apps and see how many jobs you have running.
Then, use the SoS app to see how your indexing load is: https://splunkbase.splunk.com/app/748/

Well, 100% of zero cores isn't much...

This was more of a horsepower issue rather.. we had to bump up the cores from 0 to 4 to enhance the performance.
