Dear Sir,
I launched a Splunk Enterprise (HVM) on EC2 from the aws marketplace.
https://aws.amazon.com/marketplace/pp/B00PUXWXNE/ref=srh_res_product_title?ie=UTF8&sr=0-2&qid=143663...
After I added the Splunk Add-on for AWS, I entered the set up page and filled AWS account Key ID and AWS account Secret Key, but when I save it , I get this error:
"In handler 'localapps': Error while posting to url=/servicesNS/nobody/Splunk_TA_aws/admin/splunk_ta_aws_setup_account_new/new_item"
Could you help me to fix it?
Thank you very much.
Ruo-En
Hi Folks,
You need to have a admin account in splunk to add the AWS account Key ID and AWS account Secret Key,
I also get an error when I save but a different one, but it may be related ... see screenshot.
Actually I dont know how to fix, but surfing through the ATOM Feed of the API shows that this application does NOT exist, so the error message is reasonable, somewhere is a wrong reference but was not able to figure that out.
are you a Splunk admin? Is there any proxy server, localhost firewall, or weird name resolution in your environment? That error could mean that you don't have permission or that there's something breaking our post to-and-from ourselves.
