Why am I getting "Splunk cannot find the "Search" view" after making changes on my app via the Splunk Web default settings?

Hi bidahor13,

So you changed the default.xml for the navigation bar - right?
And it looks like you have something like this in it XML opening tag view name="search" default="true" / XML closing tag this means, if you start the app Splunk will display the view named search. Do you have such a view in your app?
If not simply remove that line and you're good again.

Hope that helps ...

cheers, MuS

The XML code snippet for report, alert and dash board. I tried to revert the changes - then the error message I sent earlier came-up.
