After creating a "symantec" index, why can I view the data through the Search App, but not in Splunk for Symantec?

U've downloaded the Splunk for Symantec app and created an index "symantec" and udp input.

I'm receiving logs and can view the index through the search app.

But the Symantec App does not recognize the data/index (although i can see apps/SplunkforSymantec/local/index.conf and inputs.conf are correct)

When my dashboards weren't populating, I noticed it was because my app was not configured to use the proper index. Confirm which index your data is actually in then configure the app to look into that index.,I'm having a similar issue and nearest I can tell is that the saved searches that the dashboards are supposed to use don't seem to be present within the app. I don't know if this is a flaw in the app or if more configuration is needed but something is missing.
