What are best practices for migrating historical data from a standalone instance to a clustered instance?

Hi,

I'm building an HA solution with Splunk 6.2.X and want to pull historical data from my old standalone instance. What is the best way to migrate the historical data ? Also, what is the best plan to move the existing clients to the new clustered instance?
