SideViewUtils Lookup Updater - Restrict fields users can edit

As always , can't live without SideView
I'm using sideviewUtils lookup updater and needed to give way self-service functionality to some end-users. But I want to restrict the Editing of certain columns of the lookup file, so that Users cannot write them, but will be populated using drop-down.
i.e. Users can only select from a drop down on certain columns.

How is it possible?
Should I make change to python script or on the javascript files?
Thanks in advance

This is a super advanced topic, past the realm of Sideview-user and into Sideview-developer territory. As such you're going to have to ignore me saying the following -- I do not recommend making changes, and any changes you make may very well break later when you update Sideview Utils.

Nonetheless, the source code for it is in update_lookup.js The most important customBehavior definition in there is "editableTable". But there are definitely other places in that file that only expect to ever find an input element and would have to be updated to look for a pulldown.

I'll think about this a bit more and maybe I can find a way to make the tool more customizable. Certainly it's a popular topic. Buy an OEM license and formally request it as a new feature and you'll force my hand. 😃 http://sideviewapps.com/apps/sideview-utils/licensing-faq/
