Is it possible to generate a "Data Summary" for indexes other than the default index?

Splunk's default search screen features a convenient "Data Summary" button which users can click to show a summary for the default index. Is it possible to generate this summary for other indexes?

The data summary page/panels executes "|metadata " command without specify the index (e.g. "| metadata type=sourcetypes | search totalCount>0 " for sourcetypes). Just add your index specification after type=sourcetypes to show the same summary for that index.

e.g. | metadata type=sourcetypes index=myindex| search totalCount>0 | rename totalCount as Count recentTime as "Last Update"

You can use wildcards, OR separated multiple conditions as well.

Was this you're looking for???

Note that metadata without specifying an index will search the user's default index(es). Add your indexes to the default indexes for your user's role and you'll get your summary over all those indexes.
