How to get script in SplunkIt app to generate data in Splunk log directory?

I've extracted the server ZIP and run bin/gendata.py; this dumps the 50 gig file into a subdirectory on a mountpoint with a very limited amount of space (since that's where I extracted the ZIP file).

Is there a way to have the script generate the data NOT on that mountpoint but in the actual Splunk log directory, which is a mount point to a vast amount of storage? There's not even 50 gigs in total space on the server.

As it is now that's hardcoded into bin/gendata.py, around line 30 and 57 and 77... also in indextest.py around line 69.

You can of course change those paths in the Python code, or make an enhancement request to move this to the properties file.
