Just Delete your cookies/history and try to login again.

I solved this issue by using http://localhost:8000 instead of http://127.0.0.1:8000

I was able to login now without any issues. For some reason it has started working fine itself.

Thanks ALL

  1. What is the arch of OS (32-bit or 64-bit)? This is to ensure you are using the right binary to install.
  2. What is the version of browser (IE/FF/Chrome)? This link might help (http://docs.splunk.com/Documentation/Splunk/latest/Installation/Systemrequirements#Supported_browser...).

Can you verify that your browser isn't noting any Javascript errors (right-click > "Inspect Element" > console)? Also, could you let me know if your browser seems to perform a POST to /en-US/account/login when you press "Sign-in"?

place the below string in server.conf file and reload the splunk and try logging in.

Sorry, but this only grants access to the Splunk management port from a remote host and has no impact on the Splunkweb.....

I just downloaded the installer and installed on my machine.
I am using Windows 7 ultimate OS.

I had a look at the log files dont see any errors there, logs look fine.
Its just that I keep getting a message on the login page, displaying that "No cookie support detected. Check your browser configuration." even though both Javascript and Cookies are already enabled, and then the page reloads back on to the login page.

Take a look at Splunk's logs in $SPLUNK_HOME/var/log/splunk for anything suspicious.
