Hi,
I have installed Splunk Db-connect & connected to my Oracle DB when i do a select statement I'm getting numbers(not in standard format example # # # # # # # # # #.# # #) instead of the Date that is stored in DB
In my DB the Date is stored as 01-APR-14.
Any Help is Appreciated,
Thanks.
Based on your 10.3 digits I'm going to guess that you're getting an epoch timestamp with millisecond granularity.

its working,thanks.
the data-type is date in my Oracle-DB
You could format the date in the SQL query as needed, or use Splunk's SPL to format the date at the end like this: ... | fieldformat date_field=strftime(date_field, "%Y-%m-%d %H:%M:%S")
What's the column's data type in your Oracle DB?
how I'm i supposed to handle this epoch time, so that when i query the DB i should get the Date in proper format.
