Add a Logo Image to a generic dashboard

I'm trying to add a company Logo to my dashboards. I did not create any apps for this; just simple splunk dashboards with some panels. I found some related A/Q material that talk about adding the image and html files to my app directory but I do not believe this applies to what I'm trying to do. I was wondering if anyone can help. Thanks

That may require switching your dashboard to a non - simple xml dashboard:

And then modifying the HTML to customize and add a logo.
