I have a 5GB splunk app for vmware license.
I have a 50GB splunk license on a license server.
I can put the 5GB license on the splunk app indexer but it doesn't show up as long as I have the indexer using our license server. That makes some sense.
I wanted to isolate my test instance from production so I don't use too much in test. I think I'd have to split my 50GB license into say 5 and 45, putting the 5 on the test system along with the vmware license. Is that correct assessment?
