PDF server setup: "connection is untrusted"

There are plenty of questions about the PDF server, but I haven't seen this specific problem. I have the PDF server and requisite packages installed, the test page ("/en-US/debug/pdf") is happy ("true" on all three), but the test box/panel takes a LONG time (5 minutes?), then returns a PDF indicating the connection by Namoroka to 127.0.0.1:8000 is untrusted. What needs to be configured?

Here's the output PDF, in case that helps. http://dl.dropbox.com/u/46162/dm/splunk/pdf_echo_loopback.pdf

So the problem was that the linked host field was blank and SSL was enabled. The certificate, whether it was the default SSL cert or my custom SSL cert, isn't signed for 127.0.0.1. Specifying the host in manager->system->email settings fixed it. Woot!
