All logs are getting indexed 3 years in the past

Hi there,

I installed the app on my Splunk 5.
At the moment the app got installed, all of my logs (not only Blue Coat) in all my indexes started to be indexed three years in the past.
I restarted Splunk which did not solve the problem.
Then I disabled the Blue Coat app and everything went back to normal.

I can't really figure out why i got this behaviour ... Has anyone noticed something like this ?

Thanks in advance

I believe the problem was caused by MAX_LOOKAHEAD_TIMESTAMP not being in any stanza. Thus it was affecting the rest of Splunk. This has been resolved in 3.0.1.

I've had a look at the app.
I think the problem might come from the props.conf file [default] stanza.

It goes like this :
[default]
MAX_LOOKAHEAD_TIMESTAMP=19

And the bluecoat logs start with the date and hour (the date does not include the year) and then the source IP address.

In my case the source IP is 10.x.x.x so i think Splunk indexes the "10" as the year.
Can't really test this for now though.

Thoughts ?
