addcoltotals is included in y axis scale for a chart

Hi experts,

I would like to know if it is possible to exclude the result of 'addcoltotals' from the y axis scale.

As far as I can see the chart range for the y axis scale will cover the range of results for output of a search. When the addcoltotals is used the value of the column total is included in the calculation of the y axis scale effectively making it show a much higher value than is necessary and thus distorts the view of the chart.

Thanks for help in advance.

On your own dashboards, you can specify a list of fields that will be charted. You do have to edit the XML to add this parameter. See the panel reference: http://www.splunk.com/base/Documentation/latest/Developer/PanelReference

fields is noted in the common section for all panels, including charts.
